We talk with Christopher Balzano, author of “Dark Woods: Cult, Crime and the Paranormal in the Freetown State Forest.” Chris’s book covers everything from ghosts and zombies to puckwudgies and the infamous Carl Drew killings. Also joining us is Alan Alves, the former Freetown Police Department detective who investigated many of these incidents. Once considered amongst the world’s foremost authorities on cult crimes, Alan is now retired and runs SouthCoast Hypnosis Center. He shares his insight and give us a first-hand account of some of the cult activity in those woods.
